The Beginning: California Soul Meets Kingdom Purpose
The idea for FIVE2 was first conceived in 2011, founded by Shawn Bendinelli—a California-born Gen X’r who loves Jesus and lives for the West Coast lifestyle: surfing, skating, motorcycles, snow, sun, and soul.
The question that sparked it all was simple yet powerful:
“How do we reflect God through the things we love?”
Because we’re not meant to separate our faith from our passions. God created us to be fully alive in Him—not timid, not silent, but bold in His promises (see 2 Timothy 1:7).
FIVE2 was born from that truth.

Inspired by Matthew 14:19, our name reminds us that God multiplies even the smallest offerings into something far greater.
